Ponds Cold Cream Cleanser Review

First things first I am no skin care expert; I usually just slap on whatever moisturiser has the word 'hydrate' on it. However recently I have had really dry patches on my face due to the weather and my skin always felt really tight and dry after using my cleanser (boots botanics skin brightening cleanser)! So I decided to do a little research into the best cleansers for dry skin and Ponds Cold Cream Cleanser kept popping up. Anyway after reading a few reviews I thought I'd give it a try.

Ponds it a very old brand and has been around for decades but don't let this put you off! The consistency of the cleanser is very thick and a little greasy. It says you can remove it using a cotton pad or with warm water. Do not use a cotton pad if you try this cleanser! Warm water and a flannel works ten times better than a cotton pad and leaves your skin feeling much cleaner. It doesn't have a strong smell and is really soothing on your face. 

After using this cleanser for a couple of weeks now I have notice an improvement in my skin and it feels a lot more hydrated. I would definitely recommend this cleanser for people with dry skin but if you have oily skin I would opt for something less thick. The texture may not be for everyone but personally I think it leaves your skin feeling smooth, clean and far from tight and dry! It's also very affordable which is always a plus!
